HBA urges KPKT to show developer track records on the TEDUH portal

· Federal Government Media report

Summary

The National House Buyers Association (HBA) has proposed that KPKT upgrade the TEDUH portal to show developer performance profiles — how many projects were completed on time, delayed, given extensions, sick or abandoned. HBA also wants complaint and enforcement records, disclosure of developers' parent companies and an early-warning system before projects turn sick. HBA says a valid developer licence alone does not guarantee a project will be completed.

What it means for Johor home buyers

This is a proposal, not a new policy. For now, before paying a booking fee, check each project phase's status on TEDUH yourself (late, sick, permit cancelled) and ask about the developer's past projects. Buyers of new JB projects should also make sure the key-handover date and LAD are clearly stated in the SPA.
